Analytics Overview End-User Transfer
By selecting the End-User Transfer button in the Overview Area, charts are displayed showing throughput per hit for the current month, including Total Data in GB delivered, Total Seconds of Delivery, and Average Mbps rate per request (hit). This End User Transfer number provides details on the speed of data transfer by the CDN (in Gbps, Mbps, etc.) or the speed of delivery as content exits the Highwinds CDN. This metric gives insight into how fast end users are able to accept the incoming bytes delivered off the Highwinds CDN, as users with slower network connectivity are not able to accept the data as fast as other users with higher bandwidth connectivity. Data is collected and aggregated in 5 minute samples and average throughput per hit is computed. Please note, the End-User Transfer speeds shows average throughput per request (hit), and is not aggregated by unique "end-user". Transfer rate aggregation becomes more accurate with larger test traffic or production traffic, as small amounts of test traffic may show skewed results due to outliers.
An End-User Transfer bar chart is shown for current month and prior 11 months, graphing the average End-User Transfer rate for the month. Total GB delivered and Total Seconds delivered is also provided.
The User Throughput chart displays the Min and Max throughput in Mbps for each day of the current month. Hovering over the graph displays the average throughput aggregating the data in 1 hour intervals.
Total Delivery by Data Center
The Total Delivery by Data Center chart is a Donut Pie Chart displaying worldwide delivery, broken down by CDN region (inner pie circle) and POP (outer pie circle) for the current month. The percentage of requests and total number of requests is provided when hovering over each Pie area.
The top Sites based on delivery for the account are listed, together with Total GB delivered, Total Duration Time, and Average Mbps throughput. The top Sites shown in this area include only the direct Sites for that account and do not include Subaccount Sites.
