Overview
By selecting the Bandwidth button in the Dashboard Area, charts are displayed showing Bandwidth data for the current month, including Bandwidth, Transfer Rate, Total Delivery by Data Center, and Top Sites. Data is collected and aggregated in 5 minute samples and bandwidth computed. Bandwidth number includes both egress data for delivery and ingress data from origin pull. Total GB shows total GB delivered and ingested for the month.
95/5 Mbps shows the 95th percentile (95/5) calculation. This is calculated by aggregating the data into 5 minute samples, and calculating the Mbps rate. At the end of the month, the samples are sorted from highest to lowest, and the top 5% (which equal to approximately 36 hours of a 30-day billing cycle) of data is discarded. The next highest measurement becomes the "billable use" 95/5 number for the entire month. For all charts except Top Sites, Subaccount information is included.
Bandwidth
A Bandwidth bar chart is shown for current month, providing details on the Total GB delivered for current month, 95/5 Mbps rate, Max Mbps rate, and Min Mbps rate. Data is shown for the prior 11 months to use as comparison. A dot on each bar indicates the 95/5 number. Hovering over the bar chart details Max, Min, and the 95/5 Bandwidth information.
Transfer Rate
The Transfer Rate chart displays the Min and Max transfer rate range in Mbps for each day in the current month. Hovering over the graph displays the Min and Max data points, aggregating the data in 1 hour intervals.
Total Delivery by Data Center
The Total Delivery by Data Center chart is a Donut Pie Chart displaying worldwide delivery, broken down by CDN region (inner pie circle) and POP (outer pie circle) for the current month. The percentage of delivery and total GB delivered for that area is provided when hovering over each Pie area.
Top Sites
The top bandwidth Sites for the account are listed, together with Total GB delivered, 95/5 Mbps rate, Min Mbps and Max Mbps. The top Sites shown in this area include only the direct Sites for that account and do not include Subaccount Sites.
